New Boat Raft

The Easter Bunny decided we needed a three person raft to so all kids could use it at once (or two comfortably if they want to!). Carter and Stella tried it out today (the first time for Stella to raft without an adult!) and they loved it!

First spa!

Already, day 1, we LOVE the hot tub! So relaxing, fun, and the colors with the lights, I think we are all going to get a lot of use out of this! This was the big decision because of the extra cost, but I don't think we will regret it!

Mustache Family

Mustache March is an Air Force and fighter pilot tradition, so we are use to see this thing for a month. But this year, in solidarity against the corornavirus, the squadron decided to extend the festivities. Lucky for us, the pilots are are getting really tired of these annoying lip hairs, and Scott was more than ready to shave it off! Thank goodness!

Filling Up

So funny...Stella impatiently watching the pool filling up! It took almost 20 hours, and that is with 3 hoses!

Pool Break

School is cancelled, I'm home with the kids teleworking Tuesdays and Thursdays, and there is a big hole in the ground where the swing set use to be, soon to be our own pool.  So, seems like a perfect day to head to the community pool, possibly one last time as they are closing to all but lab swimmers, and we won't need the community pool once ours is finishes very soon! !

Easter 2020

Despite all the restrictions and store closures, the Easter bunny still managed to make it to our house. We had a nice but strange Easter; church at home on the TV, cooking at home and Mom and Greg decided to take a quarantine break to join us for our Easter feast and some family time.

Masks for Work

New Air Force directive for health protection condition elevation in status, we are required to wear masks to work and maintain social distancing at all times. My mom made me the Air Force one and I've been trying different things...Scott suggested I wear his pilot mask, so I brought it to work to give it a try!

Fondue Fun

With all the restaurants closed, Scott decided it would be fun to bring one of our favorites...fondue...home to us!

Home school

School in Florida has been closed (presumably for the rest of the school year), so we are starting on-line distance learning. Carter has daily zoom meetings with his two teachers, and they intend to focus on one subject daily...math, language arts, science and social studies. Stella and Braden's teachers are posting assignments online and available for help when needed. All will get grades for the 4th quarter (3rd quarter ended right before spring break and school closure), so hopefully they will be caught up and ready to proceed for the next school year.

Social Distancing Boat Style

Thank goodness for the boat! When all other things are cancelled and closed (including the beaches!), the marina is still open! We feel so fortunate we can get out of the house and enjoy the beautiful day exactly how we would have before the shut downs.

Happy Birthday Grandpa

We've been maintaining distance from Grandma and Grandpa with the threat of coronavirus, but we had to stop by on Grandpa Greg's birthday to give enjoy his cake and give him some birthday love!

Pool Progress

So excited for our new pool!  Today the kids and Scott should have been in Orlando with Bonnie and Mike for Spring Break, but all is cancelled with coronavirus quarantine.  So, now the kids are home staring at the big hole in the ground...hurry up pool!

Future Stinger!!

SO PROUD of Carter!! He was accepted into the STEMM Academy, the best middle school in the state focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medical studies. This school is very difficult to get into, and students accepted must have top FSA scores, grades and teacher recommendations. He had to write an essay and so do we (his parents) for his application. Over 600 letters sent out to potential candidates, approximately 100 students per class. We are so excited for him and the opportunities this school will provide for him for 6th, 7th and 8th grade.
