Christmas Baking

Grandparents seem to love to bake, and my Mom is no different! The boys really enjoyed making Christmas cookies and our Christmas Santa cake with her!

Callaway Butterfly Center

We definitely had to check out the Callaway Butterfly Center before we left...Braden's class at school is called the "Swallowtails", and the other class is called the "Monarchs", so we need to see the butterflies!

Fantasy in Lights

My Mom (Grandma Linda) arrived for the holidays, and we decided to go on a trip to Callaway, GA, to see the amazing "Fantasy in Lights," with 15 scenes and 8 million lights, we (I) couldn't wait. It is one of the world's "Top 10 Places to See Holiday Lights," I've heard, and it really was spectacular!

The boys' favorite...the frog jumping into the pond (pic doesn't do justice)...so cute!

House Christmas Party

Had a great party for our local friends before we all scattered to the wind for Christmas...not a lot of pictures, but here some of us are during our gift exchange and the sitter upstairs with some of the kids (awesome decision, by the way!)

ACSC Holiday Ball

North Pole Express

The boys loved the North Pole Express about an hour from our house...they got to ride the train to the North Pole, talk to Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elfs, and had hot chocolate and chocolate muffins...great way to start the Christmas season!

Tree Decorating

Decoratated the tree this year right at Thanksgiving--always fun and much easier w/ the help of the Seigfrieds!

Thanksgiving Dinner

Wonderful week spent with Scott's parents, and FANTASTIC Thanksgiving dinner---have to admit I didn't cook a thing; I already knew how amazing Bonnie and Mike's turkey dinners could be :)

Music Class

Braden has a wonderful music class he's been taking every Monday afternoon; they do all kinds of things from playing to dancing to rhythm with instruments; I got a few pictures from this Monday's class at the end...hard to capture the fun and the learning, but here's an idea:

Putting the Boys to Work

Seriously their idea...let's wash Mommy and Daddy's cars! Lots of fun, the cutest but not necessarily the best car washes we've had!

Braden's Soccer Team Photo

Soccer season is now over and I finally got a chance to scan his team photo! Overall, it was a great season and a wonderful way to expose both Braden and Carter to organized team sports, since I'm sure the next several years we will be participating in a LOT!

Fall Festivals

Tons of Fall Fests in Alabama! We went to one at Braden's school, one Scott's school put together, and one at the church! The boys had a great time at all and I can definitely tell you we got our money's worth out of their costumes this year!
