A friend of mine FINALLY graduated from college (just a joke, Carisa---it's way harder to do it the slow and steady way after kids in my opinion), so she had a graduation party this weekend to celebrate...the boys and I had SO much fun!!

Hey, at least I'm needed around here :) It was a wonderful Mother's day with my favorite three guys...fantastic church service followed by a special breakfast brunch at the Essex Inn...yum!

Kid's Day, 2012

Our 4th annual Kid's day was so much fun! Downtown Burlington hosts the event featuring all kinds of local kid spaces and events...everywhere we turned, a new activity! Fun!

The Great Cookie Dunk...Burlington is now in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most people dunking cookies in milk at the same time!

Mother's Day Tea

Enjoyed a beautiful Mother's day tea at Braden's school this morning!

Braden made me a lovely hat and necklace to wear:

Help Yourself

Last night while I was putting Carter to bed, I heard some noises downstairs...

Braden had managed to prepare himself--all by himself--a chocolate sunday! I was kinda impressed and amused by his resourcefulness (which is why I got the camera!). Guess I'll have to figure something else out if I don't want this to happen in the future!

Young Rembrants

Sadly, today was Braden's last day of Young Rembrants, an after school art program that has met every Wednesday for several months now. According to the Young Rembrants' philosophy, "children who learn to draw using the Young Rembrandts method develop spatial reasoning and fine motor skills, order and sequencing abilities, visualization, and self-discipline as well as fundamental art skills." Looking at some of Braden's pictures, I can see Braden has an intense focus on attention to detail...in fact, I'd guess that he spends 40 minutes of the class drawing the picture, and the last 5 minutes---if that--coloring them! Just Dance

So, I am definitely not into games like my husband or children are, but I did "Just Dance 3" at a girlfriend's house, and decided I needed to have it! Fun exercise, right?!? The boys of course had to participate, so I took a break to get a few pics of them...so cute!

Smart Start Baseball

Today was Braden's first day of Smart-Start baseball...every week the class of 3-5 yr olds meet to learn baseball fundamentals. Parent's participation is necessary, so I didn't get a lot of pictures, but I did get a few and the coach let Carter participate in the warm-ups...so fun for both of them!

Ice Cream Man

During the Spring Break, we went to the Carter's house for a play date, and the sound of the ice cream truck soon hit the air...the girls were really excited, and Braden was in awe (he said "the ice cream man has NEVER EVER been to my house!!) Truth be told, the ice cream man has been to our neighborhood, I just never told the boys what it was. So now, I guess the gig is up! Of course, we had to stop and buy ice creams! Braden was in heaven!

Jay Peak Pump House

Because it was Braden's "spring break" at school (meaning...we had to plan something fun for the week!) we decided to go to Jay Peak and stay Tuesday so we could go to the splash park with the boys Tues and Wed...what a great way to spend some family time together!

Braden, Scott and I did the blue, orange, and green water slides...fun!

Note from School

When I picked up Braden yesterday there was a note in his cubbie...

So nice to read and nice of his teacher to pass on the good as well as the not so good! Now, if he'd only clean up his things around the house...

Science Class

Braden's school is so great, and he especially loves his science class!
I think they were learning the different properties of liquids...looks fun to me!

Easter 2012

The boys woke up to Easter baskets full of candy and goodies, and Scott made pancakes with edible Easter confetti! After a great church service, I made ham, stuffing and broccoli casserole, and for the first time ever I let the boys eat on the china! They did great!
